Medical Research Coordinator

New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking a Research Coordinator to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Clinics from Southampton to NYC.  Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day-per-week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy, and Research department.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain all aspects of patient care
  • Schedule and conduct all aspects of patient visits where applicable (lab, EKG, documentation, etc.)
  • Coordinate with the clinical team to administer study treatments as required.
  • Maintain pharmacy for all drug studies, including completion of accountability logs and maintenance of IVRS systems
  • Be the first line of contact for patients regarding treatments/adverse events/scheduling
  • Complete AE/SAE documentation as necessary
  • Ensure proper protocol procedures are followed regarding drug holds including PI notification.
  • Maintain an open dialogue with medical monitor and study monitors
  • Maintain subject charts for studies including the creation of source documents for paper charts
  • Screen for patient enrollment
  • Files study-related documents
  • Travel to all trials site offices as necessary
  • Conduct research visits according to protocol design that includes collection of samples and medication administration where applicable.
  • Provide potential patient participants with study information. Obtains informed consent forms.
  • Be responsible for data management and data analysis. Ensures data entry is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management

We require

  • At least 1 year of working in a medical facility.  
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to understand complex clinical trials protocols and document requirements
  • Ability to function as an effective team member
  • Microsoft office product knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus.

 

Salary up to $30 per hour.

Monday-Friday
