In this role, you will:
  • Analyze patient clinical records and evaluate qualifications, for specialty testing and facilitating ordering and routing.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with issues pertaining to the running and operation of core laboratory processes, procedures, and lab software.
  • Proficiently operate and maintain Laboratory Information System, interfacing with Laboratory Information System support to solve more complex issues.
  • Work with satellite laboratories to ensure the proper function and connectivity of the Electronic Medical Record system with the Laboratory Information System.
  • Proficient use of Electronic Medical Records for the purpose of creating new locations, reading HL7 messages for reconciling results, and establishing connectivity with the Laboratory Information system.
  • Create and Maintain Spreadsheets for the purpose of organization, data collection, data verification, and maintaining information.
  • Help prepare the laboratory for inspections by reviewing CAP and CLEP laboratory standards under management supervision.
  • Assist department’s leadership with daily tasks, operational needs and functionality of the Laboratory.
We require:
  • Strong Organizational Skills. Strong computer skills.
  • Self-Starter with ability to operate autonomously.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (minimum capable; Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP).
  • Comfort with quickly learning new software.
  • Medical Terminology for the purpose of understanding Diagnosis codes, reading. pathology reports and communicating with doctors.
  • Healthcare experience Preferred.
Hours: Monday–Friday
Salary up to $25 per hour based on experience and education.
