In this role, you will:
  • Coordinate oral oncology medication pick-ups with patients to ensure timely and accurate distribution.
  • Submit for Prior Authorization Requests, along with Financial Assistance requests to on-site teams.
  • Documentation of all items within the EMR system (Electronic Medical Record)
  • Work closely with on-site pharmacy nursing staff and other dispensary employees to support patient care.
  • Manage the daily patient refill log, ensuring accurate tracking and prompt processing of upcoming refills.
  • Restock all medications and supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Order medications and supplies for the practice location, ensuring availability and compliance with budgetary and regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicate closely with Physicians and their Nursing Staff Members.
  • Maintain a secure Dispensing Area with access being limited to only the Dispensing Staff Member. Dispensary door to always remain closed.
We Require:
  • Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
  • Must be willing to train for 6-8 weeks at our Port Jefferson, NY location.
  • 2 years of specialty pharmacy experience is a plus.
  • Experience with QS1 and Flatiron EMR system is a plus.
  • Minium of at least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced Retail Pharmacy setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Experience with oncology medications or specialty pharmacy practices is highly preferred.

Hours: Monday–Friday 8:30am-5pm
