In this role, you will:
- Perform quality assurance review, improvement and audits of monthly logs, proficiency tests, quality controls, quality assurance and quality improvement logs.
- Ensure the content, format, and professional appearance of all reports are of the highest quality and in compliance with company standards.
- Identify any inconsistencies with test results, quality indicators and obtains clarification, modification or correction as needed.
- Be responsible for creating and managing corrective and preventative action plans in response to issues found during internal and external audits.
- Maintain and coordinates communication between laboratories.
- Promote effective and efficient utilization of company resources.
- Create and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to facilitate staff compliance with protocol requirements.
- Educate staff on current or updated SOPs.
- Monitor the Key Performance Indicators for acceptability.
- Demonstrate behaviors that reflect quality, professionalism, teamwork, and excellence.
- Assist in maintaining the Core Lab’s readiness for both NYS CLEP and CAP inspections.
- Assist with the implementation of new tests, new instruments, and new quality control.
- Monitor, distribute, and enter results for proficiency testing samples.
Our qualifications are:
- Have strong knowledge of medical terminology, and laboratory values.
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals; Ability to compute rates and percentages.
- The ability to operate a general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone.
- Knowledge of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.
- The ability to follow instructions and respond to upper managements’ directions accurately.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed.
- The ability to work independently, prioritize work activities and use time efficiently.

We require:
- A High School Diploma.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science.
- A minimum of two years clinical or related field experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus.
- Proficient in Word/Excel.
Hours: Monday–Friday
Salary Starting $28 per hour.
